Elizabeth Arden Private Bloggers Event

So most of you might have already read from Sophia's blog about her quick update on the EA Workshop. So a few (about 10?) of us were selected to attend the private launch of the Prevage Anti Aging Moisturizer. It hits the counters next week! (Takashimaya only apparently)

Prevage has launched a new product, an anti aging moisturizer with an SPF 30! I'm not going to go much into the product till I myself have 'tried and tested' it. I was a little skeptical about it at first because, ....well, lets face it, I'm obviously a makeup person... I'm not a skincare person at all! The only skincare I use is my Neutrogena facial wash that helps remove all traces of makeup each night before I go to bed!  But the workshop last night left alot of us ladies, very impressed with the Prevage products. It basically is more of a clinical product, rather than cosmetic. What I mean is basically underlined in their tagline : "PROOF, not PROMISES"

Some of you may be asking, "anti aging?? at this age??"
Prevention is better than cure :)
And as a makeup artist, to be honest, makeup can only do so much for you. At the end of the day, you wash off your makeup, and see your naked face, THAT is what should make you smile. Our skin is like a canvas. And if the canvas is not even, not clean, then no amount of makeup will provide any long term difference. Dark circles, fine lines, eyebags, wrinkles , dark spots... as much as they can be concealed with makeup, it provides a short period of satisfaction. Taking care of your skin FIRST, will ensure a longer term satsifaction.

Over the next few weeks, I will try out the Prevage anti aging moisturizer, and will do my review on this blog, providing my honest opinion/feedback on the product. So stay tuned!

For now, I leave you with some photos from last night :

Haha yeah. I did the patch test earlier today... So far so good. Lol. Hopefully I wouldn't break out from it. It said something about people with eczema having to test it for awhile before using and all.

heavenlygorgeous - I was WOW at the prices too, and what if I like the product so much, I have to keep using it. But I guess quality skin care comes at a price....plus the description of the technology or medical benefits of the product seem to do wonders for one's skin. I think it's why people pay so much for La Mer or SK-II as well. But like Sarah, I ain't a skincare junkie, so the thought of paying premium prices for skincare seems incredulous to me for now.

Yeap I do ): though I haven't experienced it on my face yet. But I guess it's kind of better to be safe then sorry I guess. Gonna patch test for a couple of days beforehand.
